Our companies are dedicated to corporate citizenship and we are committed to strengthening the places where we have customers, where our valued employees live, and where we call home. Please read our Corporate Giving Policy for information on permitted contributions and restrictions.

  • Programs and groups that help to grow state and local economies.
  • Our operations produce a significant economic benefit through payrolls, purchases, contracts, taxes, and capital expenditures.

Education

  • K-12 programs, especially those building skills in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
  • Education foundations, with emphasis on programs and scholarships broadly related to environmental education, power generation, marketing, and business.

Employee Involvement

  • Energy in Action and United Way volunteer events.
  • Worksite employee committees and employee resource groups are empowered to identify needs in their specific communities that meet guidelines and then donate volunteer time or cash grants.

Environment / Sustainability

  • Groups or projects working to build a cleaner, sustainable, and healthier environment.
  • TXU Energy’s Trees Across Texas

  • Vistra Energy and its companies are committed to strengthening the communities where we do business, where we have customers, where our valued employees live, and where our plants call home.
  • We are dedicated to addressing community needs through investments that provide meaningful, direct, and sustainable social benefit and align with our business priorities.
  • Registered non-profit, non-governmental organizations, civic, or educational organizations with proof of 501(c)(3) tax exempt status under the Internal Revenue Code, along with certain public agencies.

    • Vistra Energy does not provide charitable support for:
      • Individuals.
      • Organizations that have bylaws and/or practices that are not reflective of the core values of Vistra Energy.
      • Groups that do not reflect diversity and mutual respect, or groups that discriminate.
      • Political, labor, or fraternal organizations.
      • Religious groups for religious purposes.
      • Political or partisan organizations or candidates. (Contributions to which are made through our qualified Political Action Committees.)
      • Organizations established to influence legislation or specific elections.
      • Individual teams or single sporting events.
      • Animal welfare groups.
    • In most cases, Vistra Energy employees and community affairs proactively decide where community investments will be made. Unsolicited requests for contributions will be screened for eligibility by Vistra Energy community affairs and can be sent to community.affairs@vistraenergy.com.
